Since a lineage uncounted

A family workshop, a global home.

"My grandfather taught me that a piece of metal remembers every blow. Treat it gently, and it will outlive you."

Jai Navneet Art & Handicraft was founded by Devendra Lohar in the back-lanes of Udaipur — a city of lakes, palaces and a stubborn refusal to let craft die. Devendra comes from a family of metalsmiths going back at least four generations; the tools at our workbench are older than most of the people who use them.

We work the way our grandfathers did. Repoussé and chasing for the silver work. Lost-wax casting for the idols. Hand-burnishing for the finish that no machine has ever quite matched. A single Tirupati panel takes between four and six weeks; a Ganesha idol, three. Nothing here is rushed.

What we sell is not metal. It is the time of one person, given over to one object, made to outlast both of us. That, we believe, is what luxury actually means.

Our Values

Slow, honest, signed.

Authenticity

Every piece is signed by its maker. No anonymous factory floors. No grey areas.

Sustainability

Recycled brass, water-based oxidisers, hand tools that consume no electricity.

Heritage

We pay our masters a wage that lets them keep their workshops open for the next generation.

Premium craft

We refuse a piece if it doesn't meet the master's eye — even if it costs us the sale.
